- Infrastructure & Design: Learn how to design secure, scalable Cisco collaboration architectures, including bandwidth planning, codec selection, high availability, disaster recovery, QoS, and dial plans. Students will also understand edge devices like Expressway and CUBE, clustering, and troubleshooting key network services such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LDAP.
- Protocols & Endpoints: Deploy and troubleshoot Cisco IP phones and soft clients using SIP, activation codes, and bulk provisioning. Students will analyze SIP call flows, SDP, DTMF, and resolve endpoint registration issues.
- On-Premises Call Control: Master Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) call routing, toll-fraud prevention, globalized dial plans, partitions/CSS, time-of-day routing, and APIs. Students will also configure Cisco Unity Connection, voicemail routing, and LDAP-based user management.
- Voice Gateways & SBCs: Configure and troubleshoot IOS XE voice gateways, dial peers, translation rules, SIP profiles, codec lists, and redundancy. Understand IOS XE media resources and dial plan logic.
- Cloud & Hybrid Services: Learn how to deploy and administer Webex Calling, Meetings, and Messaging; configure routing, trunks, translations, call permissions, and cloud user management (Control Hub, Directory Connector, SCIM). Students also explore Webex APIs, webhooks, Cloud Connected UC, and Hybrid Services.
- Media & Quality of Service: Diagnose media quality issues (one-way audio, jitter, video artifacts) and understand QoS design, trust boundaries, and LLQ configuration for voice and video networks.
